The Residence Gallery is delighted to present an enthralling series of watercolours by Jack Jubb in a solo presentation for MINOR ATTRACTIONS. These works represent a new direction for the artist, as he recently started using the medium to transform the geography and dimensions of his practice during a time of emotional turmoil. Jubb states, “I found it necessary to depart from my studio and a conceptual engagement with screens and media consumption to pursue works that draw from the realm of the imaginary with drawing being the primary focus.” These works reflect feelings of anxiety and pessimism, the contentious experience of embodiment and the lurid symbolic manifestations of dreams.
Minor Attractions, in its second edition, is taking place at The Mandrake from October 8 - 13th, 2024, featuring over 30 exhibitors alongside a robust performance and events program.
